Fall protection - basics (in English)
The course contains the basic principles and the type of equipment required for different types of work and is aimed at anyone who works at a height (with a fall height of more than two meters), for example on a roof, scaffolding or in lifts.
The training follows the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations and the EU directive.
In Sweden, fall accidents constitute approximately one in three of all occupational accidents. It is by far the most common accident on construction sites. Most often it is because no rule has been followed.
Technology, equipment, training and compliance are all important cornerstones for avoiding fall accidents. Accidents can be prevented by following rules - in all situations. The law is clear, when working at a height of two meters or higher, fall protection must be available. The Swedish Work Environment Authority (AMV) is the authority responsible for increasing safety and reducing accident risks in Swedish workplaces. AMV's (Swedish Work Environment Authority) ordinances contain detailed requirements that employers and employees must comply with.
